BRIEF: To replace an existing site with a content management system incorporating most of the original design concepts, but reconfigured for search engine optimisation and for site maintenance flexibility.

SOLUTION: We structured the new site to include many additional pages, added an animation to liven up the site, and utilised widgets, custom fields and free WordPress plug-ins to provide the required functionality.

OUTCOME: A website that is now easily updated in-house and is rapidly improving in search rankings.

MagnifiScent Flowers

BRIEF: To design a logo for business cards/tags, and to design and build an easy-to-edit, ipad and iphone compatible website to showcase Magnifiscent Flowers.

SOLUTION: We designed a distinctive tag for use for all the businesses’ stationery and adopted it as a design feature for the website.

OUTCOME: Clients can easily view examples of MagnifiScent Flowers, and Kirsten has an effective and easily maintainable website.

Mishka Borowski

BRIEF: To create a website to showcase Mishka’s paintings and installations, and to give more information to collectors and galleries about her art career.

SOLUTION: We designed and built a gallery-style site,  using a stylish slider to allow her work to be viewed, series by series.

OUTCOME: Mishka’s work is now always on show.

Auckland Farmers Santa Parade

BRIEF: To replace an existing site with a content management system incorporating a “contact Santa” blog, photo gallery, animations, “count-down” to the parade and many other features.

SOLUTION: We retained the former site’s main design features and utilised free WordPress plug-ins in providing the required functionality.

OUTCOME: A website that is now easily updated in-house as sponsors and volunteers climb aboard, in anticipation of the joys of Christmas.

Salsa Con Coco Dance School

BRIEF: To replace an ineffective website with a content management system incorporating a calendar, on-line store, videos, photo gallery, newsletter, private members’ area and many other features; then optimise the site and lift it’s search rankings to page one for target key words.

SOLUTION: We created a highly functional site that is dancing it’s way to the top of the search rankings.

No One You Know

Brief: To develop a website for Belinda to promote her “No One You Know” designer homeware label to the world.
Solution: Belinda built the site as a reference point for the media, retailers and customers in the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. As well as generating interest in her designs and products, requests flowed for her to design and build websites, and this became the seed for the Design Web business.

Outcome: Mission more than accomplished.

Solution: We recreated the former website with additional features, and optimised it for visitor numbers and search rankings.

Brief: To carry out an optimisation review of Crackerjack’s  stylish  event management website and recommend changes to improve search engine rankings and improve traffic.

Solution: We identified many changes that were likely to be effective, then worked within agreed budget parameters to implement those we agreed should be prioritised.

Commercial Vessel Association of NSW

Brief: To create a website with a business directory and “members only” area for the Association, whose members operate over 250 vessels around Sydney Harbour and along the coast.

Solution: We designed and built the site to enable the client to attend to updates without external input. We continue to host the site and to provide support services as required.

Outcome: A new portal for information flows between members and the public.

Prime Minister’s Science Advisory Committee

website designed, built and hosted by the Design Web

Brief: To create a standards-compliant website for the New Zealand Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor under tight deadlines. Several special features were requested including a J-Query slideshow, navigation that would function without javascript enabled and a Google Custom Search function.

Solution: We designed and built the website as a Content Management System to enable the client to attend to the regular news releases and site updates in-house. We host the site and provide support services as required.

Outcome: An effective website attracting good visitor traffic.

Solution: We designed and built a new optimised website with copy  drafted around prospective search keywords. We created new business cards, and advertisements to  help drive people to the website.

Outcome: The conversion of enquiries to jobs has been so successful that newspaper advertising was able to be discontinued.

Solution: We created a simple but stylish single page site that features examples of the client’s quality work and provides all the relevant information at a glance. Keywords are carefully tailored for search engine rankings.

Outcome: Without any other marketing, the website had generated new clients within a week and new business continues to flow.

Brief: To design, build and optimise a website to display Danielle’s copywriting work and for it to be able to be navigated with ease by busy advertising agency creative directors.

Solution: Using WordPress as a base, we created a site with many multi-media features to showcase her substantial portfolio and to reinforce the imaginative approach she takes to her mandates.

Solution: We designed and built a new optimised website, with copy carefully written to include  keywords that Number 71 clients might use in a search. We designed all of the branding, including signage, business cards  and complimentary “Number 71″ postcards for guests and local distribution.

Prohibition Big Band

jazzy site

Brief: To develop a website to promote Stu’s “Prohibition Big Band” and get gigs.

Solution: We included photo galleries and audio and video links to present the big band and associated jazz bands in action. We also took initiatives to optimise the site for search engine rankings and generate visitor traffic.

Outcome: A significant increase in gigs and confirmation that interest in jazz is certainly alive and well in Auckland.
