BRIEF: The Victorian Multicultural Commission needed a comprehensive microsite, packed with features, to enable people to more easily get information, participate and experience Cultural Diversity Week 2017. With a high proportion of mobile users in the target audience, the site had to have a strong mobile focus and it had to pass WAG 2.0 accessibility standards.
SOLUTION: We provided designs for a bespoke WordPress website using the graphic design provided, first for mobile devices, and then once approved for larger screens. We developed the site in 3 stages to coincide with the launch date, the release of the programme, and the week long festival. The site needed to be able to handle entries for a short film festival, a school art competition and community event submissions. It needed a calendar, a festival programme and post festival it needed to display film festival entries
OUTCOME: The site became the benchmark for any new sites created in the department.
